Ikuntji Fabrics - Desert Mob '23 Satellite Event 31 Aug - 25 Sept

Ikuntji Textiles will once again be on display at Central Craft in Alice Springs this coming October and September as part of the Satellite events for Desart Mob 2023.

With all new designs and colourways installed from 31 August, you can view and pre-order some of the beautiful textile pieces Ikuntji Artists have to offer.

Recently presenting a solo show at the Afterpay Australian Fashion Week, Ikuntji Artists became the first art centre to present a show at Australian Fashion Week. Over the past five years, Ikuntji Artists have explored the medium of fabric design and printing, and we are excited to celebrate the diversity in screen printing coming out of Ikuntji Artists today.

Beginning in 2016, Ikuntji Artist designs tell the story of intergenerational art and design, spanning generations from senior and established artists to emerging next generation artists. Drawing inspiration from their personal ngurra (country) and Tjukurrpa (Dreaming), Ikuntji Artists' designs are unique to Central Australia, particularly the sandhills, waterholes, jagged mountains, and sandy plains of the West Macdonnell Ranges region.

We are proud to host this amazing exhibition and showcase the awe-inspiring works by these artists.
