Position Vacant – Administrative Officer, Central Craft
Salary- $30 an hour.
Hours- 18 hours per week and as required.
This position is now being offered on a permanent part-time basis.
Flexible working hours / conditions can be negotiated.
The admin officer will be based in Alice Springs (Mpartnwe) NT and works under the direction of the Director and Central Craft Management Committee to ensure the sound management of the organisation and its programs.
Primary Responsibilities:
Management of the workshop, gallery, and shop spaces.
Financial management through our accounting (Xero) system as well as our point of sale software (shopify).
Event support.
General administration.
The admin officer is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the studio, retail outlet and gallery under the supervision of the Director. Applicants should have strong marketing skills as well as demonstrated experience in project and event delivery, art and design.
Basic Qualification's:
Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
Reliable and on time
Passion for arts industry
Willingness to learn new systems
At least one years experience in an administrative role
Desired Qualification's:
Experience managing financial transactions
Experience managing a retail and/or online ecommerce site, Shopify preferably
Experience setting us exhibitions and organising mid sizes events.
